On Tuesday, the Moldovan national football team became one of the opponents of the Latvian national team in the 2022/2023 Nations Cup season. The Moldovan footballers defeated Kazakhstan 1: 0 (1: 0) in the regular time in the C league. The result in a two-game draw was 2: 2 and the match continued with no goals scored. After the game, Kazakhstan won the 11-meter stroke series with 5: 4, which won the C league.

Igors Armass scored the game in the 13th minute. Kazakhstan won 2: 1 in a game in Chisinau on Thursday. The Latvian men’s national football team will meet with the national teams of Andorra, Liechtenstein and Moldova in the UEFA League of Nations. Latvia will play in the fourth or weakest level of strength – in the D league, where it will fight in the first group.

Meanwhile, Estonia lost 0: 2 (0: 1) away to Cyprus and conceded with the same result. Marin Dzini and Pierre Sotiriu scored for the Cyprus national team. For most of the second half, the Cypriots played in the minority, which did not prevent them from scoring a second goal. D leagues Malta, San Marino and Estonia will play in the second group with three teams.

The UEFA League Games will take place next year in June (four game days) and September (two game days). Regardless of the number of teams in the group, all teams will play in a two-round tournament, meeting with each opponent at the same time on their court and away.
