NBA: Kyrie Irving messes up again: calls out the Boston Celtics fans as “a scorned girlfriend”

Kyrie Irving continues to fuel his image as a controversial player with statements like the ones he made after the Brooklyn Nets loss to the Boston Celtics. A meeting in which his old fans received him between whistles and boos, to which the player later responded at a press conference with a statement that he has raised dust, being accused of sexist overtones.

It’s like the spurned girlfriend, who wants an explanation as to why I left but is still waiting for a reconciliation message.

“They are like the scorned bride, who wants an explanation about why I left but is still waiting for a reconciliation message. I think it was fun while it lasted,” said the point guard who had his pluses and minuses with the Garden public, who did not I forgot his departure from Boston to head to Brooklyn in search of a ring that seems far away right now.

The Celtics defeated the Nets (126-120) in a very tight match in which Jayson Tatum dazzled with 54 points and those from Brooklyn leaned mainly on Kevin Durant, whose 37 points were not enough to avoid defeat.

The Celtics (39-27) are well established in the East after winning 14 of their last 16 games, while the Celtics Brooklyn (32-33) remain in the descending line after chaining four defeats and after a miserable February in which lost 10 of their 13 matches.

This Sunday was the third consecutive victory of the Celtics against the Nets, the previous two by beating but this much more disputed.
