It looks like retirement will wait for Aaron Donald.
The star defensive end of the Los Angeles Rams has indeed told his head coach Sean McVay that he will be back for the 2022 season.
According to McVay, the team is working on a contract offer for the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year recipient.
Asked if he’s relieved that Donald is back, McVay replied: “Maybe I would have done the TV stuff if Aaron had retired,” he joked, referring to the television networks that were courting him to become an analyst.
After the Rams’ victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in the last Super Bowl, Donald had not made a commitment regarding his future on the court, raising the possibility of his retirement.
