Halfway through, the Pôle France Basketball, alias the INSEP or Federal Center team, won 7 of its matches, knowing that one of them was then subtracted on green carpet. His coach Lamine Kebe can only be satisfied with this course.

The one who succeeded, in October, to Jean-Aimé Toupane, who became coach of the French women’s team, speaks on the FFBB website :

“It’s a very positive result. From an accounting point of view, we managed to win 7 matches. It’s rare enough to be underlined, we really made a great start. Beyond this record, we have never taken any big splinters except on a few away matches; we were regularly within reach of seeking other successes. We were very competitive throughout this first phase, we haven’t stopped progressing since September. We hope to continue in this dynamic… This puts a little different pressure, that of continuing like this. The boys approach all the matches to try to win them. Winning one, then two, then three…it makes you realize that you can do it. We therefore put ourselves in the conditions of victory each time, and therefore psychologically, it is different for the players. In previous years, we already had this desire to win matches, but it is clear that we were in more difficulty. This season, we felt that we were able to go for several victories. There was another mental approach, it hardened the team. »

Because only the results obtained against the teams that were already with him during the 1st phase are counted, the Federal Center will have four wins and two losses when entering the 2nd phase. His goal ?

“We will try to approach the matches with the desire to win as much as possible, and to play our luck to the fullest to try to maintain ourselves in the championship. »

Knowing that statutorily, the Federal Center does not risk the descent into National 2.
