Judo Club of Odos Celebrates Successes adn Prepares for Exciting Event
The Judo Club of Odos is buzzing with activity, achieving impressive results on the national stage and gearing up for a prestigious training event.
Club members have been consistently showcasing their skills at tournaments across France, from Nantes to Marseille. Recent highlights include Amin Cazenave Izelmaden’s commendable 5th place finish in the Coupe d’Occitanie and Mae Fares’s bronze medal performance, which secured him a spot as a substitute for the French Championship.
Adding to the club’s success, two promising cadets, Mathis Fontan and Lou-Ann Le Denmat, have qualified for the French 2nd division championship. Fontan’s qualification follows his recent bronze medal win at the A label competition in Bordeaux.
This wave of success is further underscored by the club’s dedication to nurturing talent. Four new black belts – lou-Ann Le Denmat, Iban Gueyffier, Mathis Fontan, and Cyriane pasquier – have been awarded, demonstrating the club’s commitment to excellence and rigorous training.
A Unique Training Opportunity Awaits
The Judo Club of Odos is thrilled to host the 13th Demontfaucon course, a highly anticipated event named after the world champion and Olympic medalist.
Organized by moïse Duchemin and his team at the Maison des Arts Martials on March 5th and 6th, this course is a collaboration with the departmental committee and is open to judokas of all levels – children, cadets, juniors, and seniors.
Participants can expect to benefit from the invaluable expertise of the French champion and Frédéric Dambach, a 6th dan expert. The program will cover both Ne waza (ground techniques) and Tachi waza (standing techniques),providing a complete learning experience.
With over 100 judokas expected to attend from across the region, this event promises to be a valuable opportunity for athletes to refine their skills and connect with fellow enthusiasts.Course Details:
