For Clément Jacquey, the month of February was perfect. The young archer has climbed to the roof of Europe twice, first in teams and then in singles, beating his compatriot from Franche-Comté Jean-Charles Valladont in the final.

Throughout the competition, the member of Belfort Savoureuse showed great composure, resisting the pressure perfectly. “I couldn’t have asked for more,” he said.

Clément Jacquey’s performance is all the more remarkable as the member of Belfort Savoureuse had only competed in one major championship so far (the world championships in Yankton last fall).

But his convincing results in young people had shown his full potential.

After a winter internship in Spain, in Tenerife, Jade Maraval started the year with a bang. The MBA javelin thrower signed, in quick succession, the two best French performances in her category in February. First in Obernai (Bas-Rhin), with a throw of 46.69 meters. Then in Épinal (Vosges), where she did even better by throwing her javelin at 48.46 meters!

All good for Jade Maraval, who is returning to a satisfactory level after a year 2021 marred by injuries. But the MBA athlete is still far from her best performances, since she has already signed a mark over 52 meters. It is by surfing on its good momentum that it hopes to reach these standards again very quickly.

Why not this weekend, in Salon-de-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône), where she will act as the big favorite for the title of champion of France hope. But more than a new title, the Franc-Comtoise sees further.

Originally from Alsace, Quentin Bohn (22) arrived at the Bauhb at the start of the season to keep the Belfort goals with another youngster, Antonin Bugnet (19). Trained at HBC Thann Steinbach, Quentin Bohn then wore the colors of Cernay Wattwiller handball (N2) then Folschviller (N1M). It was there that he was spotted by Hazebrouck, another N1M club.

At the end of a shortened 2020-2021 season, he arrived in Belfort to sign a one-year contract. And on several occasions this season, he has obtained very good stats. 11 saves against Chambéry, 12 against Sélestat but also 19 against Boulogne-Billancourt. Performance almost reissued on the last day. Against Beaune, Bohn made 18 saves fully participating in the Belfort victory. All N1 groups combined during this last day, only Huyghe (Lille Métropole) with 20 stops and Traoré (Créteil) with 22 stops did better nationally.
