On Friday, March 18, the 7th edition of the Onda Cero Puertollano National Awards will take place at the ´Pedro Almodóvar´ Municipal Auditorium, which will award six prizes to current political and cultural personalities in a gala that can be followed through the Imás television and streaming.
The awards will be accompanied by various musical performances, including that of the local group The Buyakers. The Gala has been presented in the studios of the production company Segmentos TV by the director of Onda Cero, Julián Camacho, accompanied by the first deputy mayor Félix Calle.
On this occasion, the Onda Cero Puertollano awards will go to Isabel Rodríguez, former mayor of Puertollano and current Minister of Territorial Policy and spokesperson for the Government of Spain; Blanca Fernández, Minister for Equality and Spokesperson for C-LM; El Gran Henry, an internationally renowned magician born in Puertollano; Paqui Moreno, multi-champion in judo and jiujitsu and committed to gender equality and women’s safety; Fernando Ónega, veteran journalist by race, with an extraordinary career in which, among others, his position as director of the Presidency in the government of Adolfo Suárez stands out; and the local band The Buyakers, formed since 2008 by Sergio González “Suko” and Víctor Mohedano, with an original and impeccable sound.
Precisely The Buyakers, in addition to receiving a well-deserved award, will be the protagonists of one of the performances scheduled within the VII edition of the Gala Onda Cero Puertollano, together with KM2, Rafa Garcel and Judith Mateo.
The director of the local Onda Cero radio station, Julián Camacho, has praised the category of the winners, most of whom are closely linked to Puertollano, and has invited all citizens to attend this event live on the next 18 March in the Auditorium, which can be accessed free of charge by invitation. Camacho thanked the Puertollano City Council for its collaboration in organizing and financing this popular gala.
For his part, Félix Calle has expressed his satisfaction and that of the council for having the opportunity to once again offer the local public an entertaining show that, at the same time, recognizes the important work carried out by different personalities from politics, culture, sport or social life. Calle has congratulated Onda Cero for maintaining this event despite the pandemic and has also encouraged people to enjoy it live on the 18th.
