One million for the U23 in 1B Pro League: it’s too much for the RSCA

The sum is a kind of remuneration for the other D1B clubs which will attract fewer audiences by playing against young people.

Given the current U21 ranking, the four chosen are Genk, Anderlecht, Club Brugge and Standard, but Gent are three games behind and seven points behind Brugge. It goes without saying that Sporting will finally register its U23s in D1B – the matches will be played at Lotto Park – but if the exit from Vandenhaute was done half in a joking tone, it testifies to a desire to renegotiate this amount (to which must be added TV production costs).

In exchange for maintaining the D1A at 18 desired by several “small” clubs? Furthermore, the integration of the U23s into the amateur wings is still not 100% complete, with certain details still to be settled.
