My father started his hobbies when he was in his 50s. An elderly woman in her 60s who took care of her granddaughter who wouldn’t hurt even if she put it in her eyes. Two ordinary citizens around us passed away after giving hope to others through organ donation.

The Korea Organ Donation Agency (KODA) announced on the 10th that Shin Eon-gyu (56) passed away on the 4th after donating a liver and kidney at Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do. Shin, who was working as a radiologist at a hospital, fell brain-dead while playing badminton on the 21st of last month.

Seo Hyo-suk (63, female) passed away on the 3rd at Kosin University Gospel Hospital in Seo-gu, Busan, giving livers and both kidneys to three patients. After falling asleep at her home that day, Seo lost her consciousness and died of a brain death. Her son Lee Hyun-jae, 27, said, “Her mother loved sharing during her lifetime.”
