With regard to the future of offensive player Ousmane Dembele, a decision has apparently been made: like that Brand reported, the Frenchman will definitely leave FC Barcelona after his contract expires at the end of June.
Dembele would then be available on a free transfer in the coming summer transfer window, with Chelsea, among others, said to be interested in the former Dortmund player.
Since Dembele decided against extending his contract in January, he was supposed to be handed over, but ultimately no buyer was found. After some good performances in the past few weeks, there was now speculation as to whether the 24-year-old might extend his contract in Catalonia after all.
Dembele moved from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona in 2017 for 140 million euros. So far he has made 135 competitive appearances for the Blaugrana, in which the world champion has scored 32 goals and provided 26 assists.
