Sport unites. We are taught by the ancient Olympics born in 776 BC with the intention of temporarily putting an end to the disputes, participating in the competitions with a panhellenic spirit. From then to today, sport has come a long way in various disciplines: the purpose of unite peoples it remains the main objective in large sporting competitions, but it is realized in lasting friendships in the smaller sporting environments.
“Sport is that sector in which young people give all their energies to the end, with training often conducted at a fast pace, keeping in mind the goal of the finish line, of success and of the realization of an intent: that of having proved oneself , of their abilities, of having demonstrated that, if one believes fully, the dream can become reality ». With these words, the Headmaster of the IIS “N.Pizi” of Palmi, Maria Domenica Mallamaciconcludes the Award Ceremony of the First Interclass Tournament of Archeryplayed on March 2 and organized by the Professors of Motor Sciences, Roberto Musolino, Antonietta Ranuccio and Vincenzo Scarcella, at the headquarters of the Art School.
The prizes for the first classified, Antonio Mazzeo (I classified overall) and Sofia Cicala (I classified among the girls) are really special: medals and prizes specially designed and created in the Art School’s workshops. Special guest, the archery champion, Rocco Schipilliti, gold medal in the Italian Cup for Regions. It takes very little to involve young people: a good teacher, a lot of commitment and the pride of a first place in a sports competition.
