The bow company makes Vittel’s arrows shine and shines at the top on the national stage. Young people were also on display.
Right on target for the bow company that fires the right arrows. Emmanuel Dupuis, freshly crowned champion of the Occitania league, has just won a magnificent silver medal at the French indoor archery championships, in Vittel, senior classic men’s category 2 (from 39 to 59 years old). After an interesting qualifying shot which places him 11th, he will go on without trembling in the 16th and round of 16 before reaching the quarter and winning again in the semi-finals. The last four was however difficult for the archer who had to fight and redouble his concentration against an opponent who was aiming just to get to the end of this very tough competition. Indeed, after being roughed up in the first ends, Emmanuel finally found the necessary resources to win 6-4. In the final, he met a former very great international champion Jocelyn De Grandis who left him very margin of error, and the Appamean must bow with the score of 6 to 4. “This podium is the first of his career at this level of the competition and rewards his strong involvement during training” enthuses the staff technical. In this same category, Philippe Pagnutti was also qualified and finished 46th in the national ranking. At the same time in Cholet, the French indoor championships for young people took place where two local archers were selected with Cylia Gobbato in the youngest category and David Dublois in the minimal category. They finish respectively 24th and 43rd nationally. These championships allowed them to acquire good experience for the future. “Indeed, specifies Eddy Gobbato, president of the arc company, it is the first time that our association has selected so many archers for the French championships, which confirms the good dynamics of our structure.”
