Quintus: A Vibrant Neighborhood Comes Alive with Intergenerational Activities and Artistic expression
Pesaro – The “Quintus – The microcosm neighborhood of the future” project,part of the Q5 initiative “Vismara-Cattabrighe,” is breathing new life into the community. This project, aligned with Pesaro’s bid for Italian Capital of Culture 2024, aims to foster a sense of belonging and shared experience.
“Quintus is enriching Pesaro’s cultural landscape,” stated Deputy Mayor Daniele Vimini. “Our journey towards Pesaro2024 is a collective one, driven by the vision of Pesaro’s residents. Quintus embodies this spirit through a series of engaging interventions that celebrate the city’s identity and empower its people.”
Francesca Frenquellucci, Councilor for innovation and Cohesion, emphasized the project’s multifaceted approach: “Quintus showcases the richness and diversity of our neighborhoods, highlighting their potential as vibrant cultural hubs.”
The Q5 team, led by Claudio Salucci, Eleonora Farrauto, and Silvia Marsili, expressed their satisfaction with the community’s enthusiastic response. “We are thrilled with the participation in Quintus,” they shared. “The program’s success is a testament to the dedication of our team and the community’s eagerness to engage in meaningful experiences.”
Connecting Generations Through Play and Creativity
Quintus offers a diverse range of activities designed to connect generations and foster a sense of community.
One such initiative is “Let’s Play to Relax,” a series of workshops organized by In Side Cooperativa sociale onlus, aimed at helping children develop emotional intelligence. Thes workshops, held every Saturday from March 12th to May 28th in the park on Via Basento, provide children with tools to navigate daily challenges and manage their emotions effectively.
For a unique blend of sport and literature, “Bicilibro” invites children on a captivating journey through the streets of Cattabrighe. On March 27th, participants will embark on a bike ride, stopping for story time with Romina and Melissa, who will share tales from their “Bicilibro” trolley.
Celebrating Artistic Expression and Community Building
Quintus also celebrates artistic expression through the “Urban Art” workshop, led by renowned street artist Ermes Bichi. this workshop, open to young people aged 14-20, empowers participants to create a collective mural, fostering teamwork and artistic exploration. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays, March 15th, 22nd, and 29th, at the Teatro dei Bottoni in Via volga.
Baseball Takes to the Streets
The spirit of community extends to the sporting arena with Quintus’s itinerant baseball tournament. Residents of all ages are invited to participate in this exciting competition, which will take place in various locations throughout the neighborhood: Largo brenta in Cattabrighe on march 12th and 23rd, Spazio Conad square in Torraccia on March 16th and 26th, and the park on Via Basento in Vismara on March 19th and 30th.
