The Real Polverificio Borbonico is part of the Pompeii Archaeological Park; in the Polverificio the redevelopment works have been started which, over the next few months, will make it possible to reopen to the public a large part of the monumental park with the longest Viale dei Platani in Italy. With BITU.S. it is then possible to enjoy a preview of the beautiful green space.
«The commitment of the Archaeological Park of Pompeii – declares the director Gabriel Zuchtriegel – is to give back to the community and families of the territory a large urban green space, public and accessible. Having granted part of the green area for BITU.S. it represents for us an opportunity to start reviving this place of memory as the Real Polverificio, although the works for the redevelopment of the park are still in progress. And we are therefore pleased to be able to host an event aimed mainly at young people and schools, who must be able to re-appropriate public spaces first. In addition to the large green area, the site is at the center of a larger redevelopment plan which intends to enhance the entire complex with the historic buildings ».
