Premier League: League stops broadcasting matches in Russia – Soccer

No more top football for Russia!

The English Premier League will no longer be shown in the country of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin (69). The league said so. The home of the top clubs Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City is thus reacting to Russia’s illegal attack on Ukraine.

“The League condemns the Russian invasion of Ukraine,” the League wrote in a statement. “We call for peace and our thoughts are with all those affected.”

The Premier League unilaterally terminated the contract with the Russian rights holder.

The first games affected by this decision will take place on Thursday, including Chelsea’s game at Norwich City.

At the same time, the Premier League announced that it would donate one million pounds (approx. 1.2 million euros) to the people of Ukraine.

Recently, China caused a lot of excitement!

According to BBC information, China plans to suspend live broadcasts this weekend. The reason for this are the planned demonstrations of solidarity with Ukraine in the English stadiums.
