PSG boss Nasser Al-Khelaifi is said to have lost his nerve after the bitter knockout round in the Champions League at Real Madrid.

Al-Khelaifi and Leonardo are said to have also acted aggressively in referee Danny Makkelie’s dressing room. They allegedly blocked the door and smashed referee equipment when the referee asked them to leave the dressing room.
Makkelie reportedly wrote in his official report: “After the game, PSG President and Sporting Director Leonardo showed aggressive behavior and tried to break into the referees’ dressing room. They blocked the door and the President deliberately smashed and broke the flag of one of those present.”
A Real employee is said to have recorded the scenes with his cell phone, whereupon Al-Khelaifi approached him and threatened him. The words are said to have fallen: “I will kill you!” The 48-year-old’s own bodyguards had to hold him back.
Uefa has prepared a report on the incidents, and the video material is also to be evaluated. Al-Khelaifi and the club face a severe penalty.
The trigger for the anger of the Paris officials was above all the scene that led to the interim 1-1, when guest keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was harassed by triple goalscorer Karim Benzema. Makkelie let the scene continue – a reasonable decision.
Already in the box, Al-Khelaifi and Leonardo are said to have misbehaved, Spanish media reports. Verbal abuse and insults are said to have occurred.
