PSG: “I wanted to admire him and play alongside him”, says Marquinhos about Sergio Ramos

For Marquinhos, Sergio Ramos’ season looks almost heartbreaking. In an interview which will be broadcast on Sunday evening on Prime Video ahead of the clash between OM and AS Monaco (27th day of Ligue 1), the captain of PSG gives his view of the Spanish defender, who has only played five games in all competitions this season.

“It’s a shame, breathes Marquinhos. Me as a defender, I wanted to admire him and play alongside him like I’ve played alongside a lot of great defenders before. We have to concentrate so that he comes back as soon as possible”. And on this point, the Brazilian seems to believe in the next positive weeks for the former Real Madrid player: “He is someone mentally very, very strong. We see in training how much he wants to come back in better shape and help the team in these key moments of the season.

At the start of March, Sergio Ramos has still not resumed collective training. He has been hit in the calves again since January 23 and a tenure against Reims in Ligue 1 (4-0). The 2010 world champion has resumed racing in recent days at Camp des Loges but no date for his return with the group has been decided.
