Paris Saint-Germain was only left in the 1-1 draw against Napoli, in a game valid for the fourth round of Group C of the Champions League, this past Tuesday. After the match, the president and owner of the French club, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, commented on the result of the confrontation in Italy.
– We came to win the game, we got a draw which is not bad at all. Now we have to win the next two games to qualify. Of course there was an offside (in Napoli’s goal) and there was a clear penalty for us that was not scored. VAR is needed ASAP. We lost two points due to two referee errors – he said.
Last week, Football Leaks revealed that UEFA and FIFA officials covered up Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain’s actions over Financial Fair Play. Al-Khelaifi spoke for the first time on the case.
– Honestly, I didn’t even make a point of looking at it because it’s absurd – he stated categorically.
