MotoGP 2022 opens with MotoGP Qatar at the race at the Losail Circuit, Qatar on Sunday (6/3). Free practice and qualifying were held last Friday-Saturday.
The pole position belongs to the Pramac Ducati rider Jorge Martin, followed by the Gresini Ducati rider Enea Bastianini and Marc Marquez in third.
Defending champion, Fabio Quartararo had to settle for starting in 11th position. His teammate from the Yamaha team, Franco Morbidelli was one strip behind him.
Losail Circuit has a length of 5.4 km. In 2012, the winner at this circuit was Fabio Quartararo in first place, followed by Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin.
In MotoGP 2022, it is believed that the race will be tight. Quartararo may be the seed, but other riders like Marc Marquez have made a comeback, Joan Mir could surprise again, and Francesco Bagnaia is to be reckoned with.
