The Dominican Republic has been one of 11 countries to compete in the badminton tournament of the Valledupar Bolivarian Games.
The information that appears on the official page of the games indicates that the Julio Villazón Baquero auditorium, of the Bilingual School Foundation, will be the stage where Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic and Venezuela, will dispute 22 medals, distributed in 6 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze.
For three days, the racket and shuttlecock sport will have competitions in the modalities of singles for men and women, doubles for men and women, and mixed doubles and mixed teams.
For the development of these competitions, the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) and their respective federations registered more than 160 players.
The badminton actions will begin on June 25 and end on June 28, according to the guidelines proposed by the organization of the Valledupar 2022 Bolivarian Games and the South American Badminton Confederation.
