The 2021/22 Copa del Rey final will pit Real Betis vs Valencia. Both teams managed to advance to the final through impressive results since the first round.
Betis made it to the final after holding Rayo Vallecano 1-1 in the second leg, Friday (4/3/2022) early morning WIB. Despite falling behind through Bebe’s goal in the 80th minute, Borja Iglesias was able to save Betis from defeat with a goal in injury time.
Betis are also confirmed to qualify because they previously won 2-1 in the first leg on February 9, so that they won 3-2 on aggregate. Meanwhile, the day before, Valencia managed to win 1-0 over Athletic Bilbao, the team that eliminated Barcelona and Real Madrid from this event.

Goncalo Guedes’ single goal in the 43rd minute was enough to deliver Valencia to the final because in the first leg the match ended in a 1-1 draw, thus qualifying 2-1 on aggregate. Even so, Valencia is believed to be facing greater pressure to become champions.
This is because the final match will be held at the Estadio La Cartuja which is located in Seville, the city of Betis origin. Although the stadium is not Betis’ home ground, geographical factors make it easier for Betis supporters to attend.
Don’t forget that Betis is also coached by Manuel Pellegrini, and is doing well in LaLiga, occupying the Champions League zone, precisely in third position with 46 points.
Even so, Valencia also has important capital. In 2019, they won the Copa del Rey by beating Barcelona in the final. A number of players at that time were still in the current squad, so their winning mentality was more formed than Betis, who last won in 2005.
Real Betis vs Valencia match will be held on 23 April.
