Real Madrid signed young Eintracht Frankfurt striker Enrique Herrero on Friday. The 17-year-old Spanish centre-forward, who was also tracked by FC Barcelona, should not however be able to play this season with the Madrid club because he has to wait for the green light from FIFA. It was the player himself who announced it on Friday evening on his account Instagram.
Herrero is considered one of the most promising players of the 2005 generation in Spain, international U17 he had joined Frankfurt last summer from the youth teams of Villarreal, when he was already coveted by Real and the Barca. However, after only eight months, the young Spaniard wanted to return home and it was therefore Real who picked him up.
