Cele knew how to assert their local status once again and beat Ferro de Concordia 72-63. The scorer of the game was Agustín Aguirre with 16 points, while Nahuel Mas stood out with 15 points on the visiting side.
After some delays due to the breakage of one of the rings, the first minutes of the game were very even, with both teams measuring each other. Regatas had the initiative with high pressure from all over the field, which caused Ferro to lose the ball that Cele knew how to assert. Once again, Fernández was key with his three-point shots so that the first quarter ended 20-11 in favor of the host.
In the second period, Rimoldi’s team came on a bit unfocused, which Ferroviario took advantage of and got into the match. But after a timeout requested by the local bench, the Concordia team raised a zonal defense, which was not effective as Regatas knew how to break it with ball movements and good collective attacks. Thus, the match went to long break with a six-point lead for the host (31-26).
The beginning of the complement was much more even, with both teams becoming strong with their high pressure, which caused losses on both sides of the pitch and somewhat frustrated attacks. Guillermo Saavedra, on the Regatas side, became strong in the painted zone and his team finished the third quarter ahead by nine (49-40).
Already in the final part of the match, the game was again very even and the partials indicate it perfectly. The last quarter ended tied on 23 points, but the key to Celeste’s victory was in the advantage that they achieved both in the beginning and in the third quarter. In this way, once again, Regatas won at the Juan José Garro and has six victories in the Entre Ríos Zone, four of them at home.
On the 11th, Regatas will visit the leader Neptunia in Gualeguaychú, and Ferro will receive Sportivo Peñarol.
