The presentation to the press of the Trento Baseball teams that will play the diamond in the upcoming season will begin at 5.30 pm on Saturday 5 March at the Grand Hotel Trento.
The opportunity will be one of those greedybecause in addition to presenting the three formations (the one that will play in the Italian Serie C championship, that of the Under 14 and that of the Under 12), the management will also celebrate the five years of life of the Trento sports association.
Five years in which the company has grown, five years in which it has taken particular care of the youth teams, so much so that this year’s Serie C team for the first time is made up almost all of its athletes by young people who have grown up in the formations minors.
But the five years of activity will also be celebrated with an important engagement for Trento Baseball: in fact, the new Technical Director and Manager of the Serie C team, Cuban Ernesto Del Rio Carceller, will be presented.
The important load therefore falls, the managers of Trento Baseball headed by president Elisabetta Zanin, bringing to Trento a coach who boasts a very impressive curriculum and palmares of results, from success in various Cuban national championships to victory in the under 15 world baseball championships. and under 18 respectively in 2001 and 2008.
But that’s not all: Ernesto Del Rio arrived in Italy in 2010, in Serie A with Messina, where he was hired as a pitching coach and where he obtained fourth place.
Subsequently, in 2015, he joined Crazy Sambonifacese, winning the Triveneto Under 12 championships for five consecutive years.
His masterpiece in 2021, when he led the team made up of young people raised in the Veronese nursery, to the success of Serie C and then promotion to Serie B. Also in 2021, third place in the Italian championship arrived for him and his Crazy. Under 12.
The wolves of Trento Baseball are therefore ready to change gears, they are ready to build a path that will allow them to bring important baseball even to the city of the trident.
