It is a classic event in the sporting and associative life of Rouen (Seine Maritime), which returns on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March 2022: “Sport gives them”.

Return of face-to-face sessions

In 2020, just before France and the world entered confinement, the event was canceled. In 2021, it was offered in a version adapted to the context of the time, with sessions organized online. This year it returns in a more “classic” version. The principle remains the same, namely: to offer free sports activities for women and teenage girls (from 14 years old), for a weekend. With the idea of ​​reaching an audience that has moved away, for one reason or another, from practicing sport. The meeting was created by the federation of French ASPTTs. In Rouen, the sports association can also count on the support and participation of some thirty local clubs.

“Sport gives them” starts on Friday, with events organized for sportswomen with disabilities. All the details of the day, here. Saturday remains the key day of the weekend, with various activities: aikido shintaiso, body health, sophrology, yoga, aquagym, fencing, krav maga, Nordic walking, skating, archery…

Sunday morning at Novick’s Stadium

Fifty activities are on the program, in several major centers of the city: Hauts-de-Rouen, Île-Lacroix/quays, Saint-Exupéry gymnasium, left bank center (Cotonniers and Mandela gymnasiums, Diderot swimming pool, EGR Saint-Sever, etc.) . The weekend continues on Sunday morning, with two hikes (8 or 12 kilometres), and a morning of leisure activities for the general public (family challenges, longboard, Nordicfit, parent/child yoga), on the right bank quays, in partnership with Novick’s Stadium sports bar.
