Tennis school and adult lessons have resumed, while young players are preparing for upcoming team competitions. Looking ahead, the club is eagerly anticipating the regional and departmental adult interclub championships, which will take place every weekend starting in May. MD: I think it speaks volumes about the enduring appeal of tennis.It’s a sport that transcends age and background, and Romagna clearly has a thriving tennis culture.

Indeed! The competition was fierce,with Adèle Miranda securing the women’s title and Remi Bourson defending his men’s crown. These were fiercely contested matches. Was there a particular moment that stood out for you?

MD: Clara Nunes pushed Adèle to the limit in the women’s final. It was a nail-biter! And Vaclav’s experience was evident in his victory over the younger Sébastien Bas. Remi knows how to handle pressure and close out matches.

Remi Bourson is a familiar face at Romagna. What do you think it takes for a player to consistently perform at a high level in a tournament like this?

MD: It’s a combination of factors. Natural talent is crucial, of course, but unwavering dedication, disciplined training, and mental fortitude are equally crucial. Remi clearly possesses all these qualities.

Moving forward, Romagna Tennis club has a busy schedule planned. What are you most looking forward to in the coming months?

MD: I’m eager to see how the young players develop in the upcoming team competitions. It’s always exciting to witness the next generation of talent emerging.
