During the first weekend of March it has been disputed in the Malaga Garden City Pavilion the II Andalusian Base Cup of badminton To this autonomous territory (TTR) came 147 participants from 17 clubs of the community, from under-13 to under-19 categories. The two ruteños clubs had representation and in both cases, again, with good results. The largest presence was Rute Flying Club, with a dozen minors between the sub-13 and sub-15 categories. The most outstanding performance was Angela Moyano, who made a double at the top of the podium. He got the gold in singles under-15 and in women’s doublesforming a couple with his partner Margaret Jimenez.

The brothers also won gold in this same category. Diego and Sara Arenas, in mixed doubles, where they did not give up a set. Diego also completed his good role with a silver in singles. Volante’s list of winners was completed with a bronze for Paco Baena and José Manuel Burgueño, in men’s doubles sub-15.
