After the loss as a visitor against Sportivo Las Parejas, the Blues appeared before their fans at the Victor Comelli and managed to remain undefeated at home by beating Sportivo Suardi 106-90.
The locals got off to a better start in the first ten minutes, when Francisco Blanc’s team were more accurate in the game and in their shots from the field, surprising the Rojiblancos who couldn’t find a way to control the barrage of the Blues. Sebastián Godoy Vega and Agustín Acuña stood out, well accompanied by their point guard, Nicolás Solari, to win the quarter 31-13.
However, the locals went from low to high in the second segment, thanks to the growth of the defense and attack of the visit. Beyond the fact that Santa Paula kept scoring, he had problems in his defense, thanks to the push of the visit. Thus the first twenty minutes passed in favor of the local by 51 to 40.
After halftime, when everything seemed for the locals, the triples of Luciano Lizarraga appeared in all their dimension, who wreaked havoc in the defense of the host who could not control it, accompanied by the good performance of point guard Nicolás Correnti.
The last ten minutes were decisive and the Rojiblancos managed to get as close as three points. That was the moment when Nicolás Solari put the team on his shoulder, along with the experience of Maxi Ríos, plus the good work in the painted area and in the outside shots of Agustín Acuña and Sebastián Godoy Vega. Thus, Santa Paula was able to recover from his setback and remained undefeated at home, winning 106-90.
