The American Scottie Scheffler achieved victory this Sunday in the PGA Match Play tournament, played in Austin (Texas), and snatched the leadership of the world ranking of men’s golf from the Spanish Jon Rahm.
Scheffler, 25, bested Kevin Kisner in the final 4-3 at Austin Country Club.
This was Scheffler’s third win on the PGA Tour in 2022 following wins at Phoenix and the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Scheffler himself ended Rahm’s 36-week reign atop the PGA world rankings.
