Baja Californian goalkeeper Luis Abuelo Álvarez will travel this Saturday to Bayamn, Puerto Rico, site of the Regional Qualifier for the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador 2023.
Abuelo Álvarez, bronze medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, will appear in the Regional Qualifier as number one in Mexico, after winning the National Outdoor Championship in Monterrey, Nuevo León, and the Internal Control held in CDMX, endorsed by the Mexican Archery Federation.
Together with archers Emilio Trevio, from Nuevo León, and Jesús del ngel Flores, from Coahuila, they will look for places for Mexico, in the specialty of recurve bow, for San Salvador 2023, where it will be the first stop in the Olympic process to Paris 2024 .
FMTA, directed by Santiago Avitia, has in its sights Mexico’s participation in the different World Cups in 2022, in the midst of the Olympic process that also includes the Pan American Championship and the XIX Pan American Games in Santiago 2023.
