Cut by the Lakers to make room for DJ Augustin, DeAndre Jordan will continue his season with Philadelphia. It’s The Athletic who confirms itadding that the 76ers will first part with Willie Cauley-Stein, who is coming to the end of a 10-day contract signed last week.
With the departure of Andre Drummond, sent to Brooklyn as part of the transfer of James Harden, the 76ers had to tinker for several games with the only Paul Millsap as (small) interior on the bench. The arrival of DeAndre Jordan will therefore ensure the size and a minimum of protection of circle, in lining of Joel Embiid.
Furthermore, from ESPN, the recruitment of DeAndre Jordan should not be the last in Philadelphia. The club still has a free “spot” in its workforce and could soon add an additional interior to its ranks, in order to solidify its interior sector a little more as the playoffs approach.
