Slavia Prague must almost certainly miss Lukás Masopust in the matches against Feyenoord. The midfielder sustained an injury during the international match. Slavia Prague is furious at the turn of events and the club says in a statement that the Czech Republic Football Association has gambled with the health of several players.
“The club is deeply disappointed with the treatment of players during the friendly against Wales,” the club said, quoted by Voetbal International. “It was nothing but gambling with the health of players, who were already overloaded. This harms the interests of Czech football as a whole.”
Masopust had to leave the side in the game against Sweden due to cramp. In the friendly match against Wales, the midfielder was out with an injury. The medical staff expects Masopust to be sidelined for six weeks. Slavia Prague believes that the 29-year-old midfielder should not have played against Wales. It was previously announced that Aiham Ousou and Srdjan Plavsic have been suspended for the first game against Feyenoord.
