After the second place in the Mixed Team a few days ago, obtained together with Danilo Dennis Sollazzo, Sofia Ceccarello makes an encore in the course of the first leg of the 2022 Shooting World Cup, currently taking place in Cairo (Egypt).
The Ravenna, following the passing of qualifications, which took place yesterday, proved by immediately brilliant, first passing the semifinal to eight and then ranking between the first two in the four-way race towards the final. At that point the head to head against the Norwegian Jeanette Hegg Duestad: a duel to take your breath away, which saw the Nordic win 17-13 in the sprint, after 13-13 of the first shooting series. A pity especially for the last pitch, with a 9.0 that paved the way for Tonsberg’s shooter.
To complete the picture of the medals, the other Norwegian present in the competition: Jene Stenny, able to precede the German Lisa Mueller.
For the Italian colors comes the fifth podium in Cairo, looking forward to new races at the weekend.
