Since March 2020 and the first confinement linked to Covid-19, associations have had a checkered life. This is the case of Festive Treportwhich organizes gatherings in Tréport (Seine-Maritime) throughout the year.
After a 2021 general meeting behind closed doors, the volunteers were able to meet at the end of February 2022 in the multipurpose hall.
It feels like living again
“There was a buffet that had been set up and it was very successful. We felt that everyone was happy to be together, ”continues the president.
The association is ready to get back on a good footing in 2022, in particular by being assigned new premises by the municipality. Work still needs to be done and the association will soon be able to invest in the premises of the former boxing club, which has not resumed its activities this season. These premises are located under the seafront esplanade, next to the beach café.
The 2022 calendar
> Loto, April 3 at the Reggiani room
> Tréportaise omelette, July 9 and 10 under the marquee on the beach
> Festive mold, August 13 and 14 under the marquee on the beach
> Tea dancing on September 22 at the Reggiani room
> Harengade, November 13 and 14 at the Reggiani room
“The move will be easy, since it’s right next to our current premises,” says Brigitte Berrier. The association will thus have more space to organize meetings and store the equipment necessary for the organization of the various festivities.
Present at the general assembly, the mayor Laurent Jacques thanked all the volunteers for their mobilization, which makes it possible to animate the port city throughout the year.
The festive Tréport is delighted to have been able to attract new volunteers to the association, which currently has 55 members. Enough to continue to organize events that are always very successful and attract visitors from afar.
