The Minister of Youth and Sports and Territorial Vice President of Social Socialism, Mervin Maldonado, explained that the tricolor delegation that will attend Argentina, made up of 274 athletes, will participate in 24 of the 26 sports disciplines: athletics, badminton, beach handball, 3 x3 basketball, boxing, cycling, climbing, fencing, futsal, artistic gymnastics, judo, karate, weightlifting, olympic wrestling, swimming, speed skating, rugby 7, skateboarding, tae kwon do, tennis, table tennis, archery, triathlon and beach volleyball.
“Work has been developing since the organization of the National Sports Games in its 20th edition, which had the fundamental conception in the youth category, with a view to opening the competitive calendar of this new Olympic cycle, focusing its main effort on these youth ages. That is why it is an articulated work with each one of the national federations, the Olympic Committee, the National Sports Institute and the Ministry,” Maldonado said.

In this event, in which athletes between the ages of 14 and 17 will participate, the participation of 1,500 athletes from Argentina, Aruba, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Curacao, Ecuador, Guyana, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname is expected. , Uruguay and Venezuela.
The competition will have Parque Independencia transformed into the Parque Único Suramericano, as a facility where all the competitions will take place.
