Sport and solidarity with Ukraine from Ifach Calpe

The CB Ifach Calpe has issued a statement in which “it joins the call for solidarity with the Ukrainian people and asks for help from the families and neighbors of Calp to welcome refugee Ukrainian teenagers.

The Calpine basketball club “joins the humanitarian aid, product of this war against the Ukrainian people, in favor of peace and condemns the Russian invasion, which de facto violates International Law and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”.

From the CB Ifach Calpe, the collaboration of the basketball families and residents of Calp is requested to help by welcoming children from Ukraine, between 12 and 16 years of age, into their homes, who have had to leave their homes and separate from your families.

The objective is that “these refugee adolescents can overcome this situation in the best possible way and can continue with their studies and doing the sports practice that we like so much“.

It should be noted that the Calpine basketball entity is “in contact with various Ukrainian associations to provide all the necessary help and collaborates closely in tasks that the club can assume.”
