# The first of the three Latvians with the number 61 went to the track Edgars Mise, earning two penalty laps in the first line of fire, but shooting flawlessly in the second. Mass was able to achieve the highest career result in this discipline and the second best overall, winning 65th place. Until entering the racing race or Top 60 he was missing 18 seconds. Unusually, the athlete born in Moscow with the 66th step on the track (+1: 51.3 for the leader) was the fastest among his compatriots.
# This year’s cross-country skiing Olympian Roberts Slotiņš made two mistakes in both shots, reaching four penalty laps. The most experienced of the Latvians surpassed only four athletes, taking the 77th place.
# Rūdis Balodis, who participates in the second level or IBU Cup stages on a daily basis, took only the second individual start and the first sprint in the PK competition. The 22-year-old biathlete was accurate while lying, but stood past the last shot, ranking 74th.
# The 14th career victory was won by the convincing overall leader Kenten Fijon-Maye from France, the high second place was won by the Norwegian Philip Fjeld Andersen, and in the intense battle for the bronze medal was the German biathlete Johannes Ken.
# The eighth stage of the PK will end tomorrow with a husband and lady chase competition. Only Baiba Bendika will represent Latvia.
