Leidschendam-Voorburg – Looking back on the spring holiday activities, these turned out to be a great success again this year.
As usual, children could participate in the activities that SenW had organized. The weather was kind on most days and there were fun sports and cultural activities to do, indoors and out, for a week. Nearly 400 children, aged between 3 and 14, participated and enjoyed it.

The activities took place at various locations, including Forum Sport, the Essesteijn and De Fluit sports halls, Veur Theater, Maerten vd Veldeschool and Playground Prinsenhof. You could participate in various events such as Multisport, Sport and Play, Laser Tag, and a Lego workshop. “If we can rebuild a city, I want more trees in the city,” said one participant.
They could also go to the theater for the Children’s Performance: ‘I’m going to be … a babysitter for a day’. A visitor: “I really liked it, but I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I don’t have to… I’m 6 years old now”.

On Tuesday 1 March, the Sport-In at De Fluit sports hall was well attended by almost 200 motivated children. They could participate in handball, volleyball, softball, badminton, rugby, boxing, gymnastics, futsal, capoeira, judo and karate. The sports were taught by experienced trainers from the sports associations.
One parent was enthusiastic: “It was a great day! Well organised, fun sports and really fun. Saw a lot of smiling children.”
The organization hopes that children have become enthusiastic and sign up for a trial lesson via www.senw-lv.nl/sport-en-cultuurkaart/sport.
