In the subgroup, Prošina won in four of the five duels and was seeded 16th in the knockout tournament and was free from the first round. In the second round, the Latvian swordsman defeated the Azerbaijani Ajnur Sudef Guliyev (49) with a result of 15: 9, in the third round with a 15: 9 victory over the Bulgarian Viktorija Velislavov (48), but in the eighth final with 15:13 he was superior to the Turkish Aleins Erturka .).
