Table tennis inspires school children

Pupils from Sainte-Marie school in Senonches take part in an initiation to table tennis with Sébastien Cendrier, departmental technical facilitator.

Seven sessions are offered at school by the La Loupe club while the Senochois club chaired by Christian Benoît lends tables and rackets.

Cultural ambitions

Guillaume Demy, the director of the school, hopes to introduce a sport that can be practiced in Senonches and encourage schoolchildren to pursue this discipline in a club. The children start with table tennis but will also discover judo, football…

Every Friday afternoon, in the leisure reception room, the students are introduced to table tennis. They are progressing well, and know how to handle the racket. Many did not know this sport but they discover it with enthusiasm and develop their reaction speed, their concentration and the precision of their gestures.

The ambition of the school does not stop at sport, a rapprochement with the music school, the history group, the museum-castle is envisaged.

Open doors. The Sainte Marie school is organizing an open house on April 2 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
