American coach Mike Magher with Maryam Ismaïli, who dominated the competition for the Benjamins in women’s.
Initially scheduled for last December, then postponed due to the health situation, the final of the Junior Tour Mike Magher 2021 took place last weekend on the links of the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat, in the presence of 80 young golfers aged 9 at 18 years old. The Juniors category was dominated by the representatives of the Golf de l’Océan d’Agadir, namely Rim Imni and Boujemaâ Sbeka.
After two months of waiting, the young Moroccan golfers finally found the atmosphere of competition on the occasion of the final of the Junior Tour Mike Magher 2021. This tournament, the result of a collaboration between the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation and the famous American coach Mike Magher (founder of the American Golf Academy in Biarritz), finally gave his verdict last weekend, after the last stage played on the green and blue courses of the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat . In total, some 80 young participants made the trip for this final, which was played in five categories. Thus, among the chicks, Sarah Lahloumi (Golf de l’Océan) dominated the women’s competition, while Abderrahmane El Hali (RGDES) won the men’s competition. Among the Benjamins, victory went to Maryam Ismaïli (RGDES) and Yasser Belatar (Ocean). Among the minors, the honors went to Aya Azizi (RGAM) and Daryl James Henry (RCCT). Sonya Bayahya (RGAM) and Réda El Hali (RGDES) dominated the debates among the cadets. Among the Juniors, the Golf de l’Océan d’Agadir achieved the double with the victories of Rim Imni and Boujemaâ Sbeka. All these young winners should therefore be welcomed by the American coach Mike Magher during an exceptional training course. The latter had already succeeded in placing 33 young golfers directly on American university teams and in supporting 14 others to obtain sports-study scholarships. The young winners of the 2021 final should therefore be in good hands.
