The Notre-Dame-des-Neiges hockey player, Samuel Lévesque, has finally signed a contract with the 3L organization of Rivière-du-Loup. The team shared the news this Tuesday, March 1.
Lévesque will be back in Rivière-du-Loup for a 7th season and he no longer needs an introduction. With 151 games on the circuit, he will bring a dose of experience to a group that already has a lot. The forward has 19 points and 570 career minutes in jail.
“We have been in discussions since the start of the season. With the stoppage due to the Covid, and because of his work, his return was postponed. Sam is happy to be back, he would have liked to be there before, but it was not possible for him […] It’s a major addition to our roster down the stretch, because in addition to what it brings on the ice, it’s a major presence in a locker room,” said 3L general manager Fabien Dubé.
The return of Samuel Lévesque – a crowd favorite – had been hoped for by fans for several weeks. He will be in the starting lineup for Friday’s game against the Marquis de Jonquière.
