José Azqueta’s Biobizz, José Luis Ribed’s Tchin Tchin, Simón Cortés’s Turi and Juan Carlos Estefanía’s Kohen are the first leaders of the Astobiza Trophy in Biscayan waters of the Abra. The Biobizz won the two routes of the first day of the Astobiza Trophy, with the Fhimasa Escuela de Vela José Luis de Ugarte in second place in both tests. Third is Félix Moneo’s Kiwi and Ramón Zubiaga’s dalecandELA fourth, with José Luis Ribed’s Pilgrim fifth after a day with very complicated winds.
For its part, in the Regatta class, Tchin Tchin is the first leader ahead of Javier Chávarri’s Rat Pack and Mauricio Guibert’s Akelarre, with Carlos Maidagan’s Despeinada in fourth place.
In addition, Simón Cortés’s Turi is first in Cruise I. Second is José Miguel Franco’s Bacilón and third is Koldo Báez’s Marmotinha after the 10-mile race. Juan Carlos Estefanía’s Kohen started in first place in Cruise II ahead of Javier Gómez de Segura’s Haize Lore and Iñigo Aldea’s Blai.
