In addition to this victory in the team tournamentthe Blues got their hands on four medals in individual events.

It’s really an incredible feeling to have won with this very talented cohort that has been with us for three years, said Carabins driver Andrée-Ann Allard. In March 2020, after winning the three provincial banners, we had high hopes of being able to achieve the feat on the national stage, but COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the tournament. We hope to succeed in winning all the provincial and national titles this year.

For technical reasons, the Canadian championship took place before the provincial championships this season. The Carabins will therefore have the chance to get their hands on the titles of Quebec champions in the women’s and men’s sections this weekend at UQAM. The third banner, of the provincial mixed team championship, will be presented in Quebec on Sunday, April 10.

The Carabins were crowned Canadian champions after winning the team tournament. They first finished first in their group at the end of the preliminary phase, before defeat the Université Laval Rouge et Or (4-0) in the semi-finals and the York Lions in the grand final (3-1).

The day before, Xavier Laperriere and Thien Quan Nicolas Nguyen won the Canadian men’s doubles title. Alexis Nadeau and Bao Quoc Anthony Nguyen accompanied them on the third walk from the podium.
