The news came a few days before the final of the Italian under 18 championship that Judo Treviso ranks at the top of the annual national ranking for clubs (36th out of over 400 points at national level), and in first place overall among the companies of our region. A great satisfaction for the staff and an injection of confidence for the athletes. A news of which, in truth, only official status was expected. The excellent results achieved in 2021 in the various Italian class championships did not leave great uncertainties as to what the final result published by the Federation would be. After many years, always among the first, but never at the top, Judo Treviso finally climbs to the top step of the podium. An amazing result for a company, even if noble and with over 60 years of history, but which today is forced to carry out its activities in a precarious condition after leaving its historic headquarters in Viale Monte Grappa.
This result is mainly due to the great work done daily by all the boys and girls and in particular by the four who will return to Lido di Ostia next Saturday and Sunday to compete for the Italian title with their peers. Marta Vendramin, Maja Forese, Antonio Lubrano and Logan Common, all qualified by right according to their positioning in the ranking list, will be protagonists of an Italian championship that promises to be very hard fought, where in addition to the Italian title there will also be the black belt and maybe a call-up with the national team that this summer will see the under-18s involved in European, World and European Youth Olympic Games.
