The Uruguayan midfielder Fernando Gorriarán, from Santos Laguna of Mexico, scored a great goal from a free kick this Sunday at the Corona stadium where his team, the ‘Guerreros’, thrashed the ‘Xoloitzcuintles’ of Tijuana 4-0 for Clausura 2022.

The midfielder made it 1-0 by taking a free kick and placing the ball in the upper left corner in the 41st minute.

It was a great goal from the midfielder who had a special game this Sunday when he reached 100 appearances with Santos Lagunaclub to which the former River Plate arrived in the 2019/20 season after playing for two years at Ferencvaros in Hungary.

Gorriarán is one of the footballers reserved by Diego Alonso for the next matches of the Uruguayan team on March 24 against Peru and on March 29 against Chile.

Santos Laguna won their match 4-0. At minute 70, Colombian Harold Preciado made it 2-0 with a header after taking a corner kick from the left.

Preciado provided the assist for Argentine Leonardo Suárez to make it 3-0 with a shot inside the area in front of the goal, at 85. The 4-0 fell to 90+3 when Tijuana goalkeeper Jonathan Orozco rejected a ball that Preciado finished off on the edge of the small area.

In this way, Santos reached 11 points and caught up with Tijuana.
