The 1st and 2nd division regional team championship was held in Limoges, where teams from all over New Aquitaine met.
The girls of the Judo club of Saint-Vaury finished 4th in this competition. In the first round, they lost to Angoulême then to the Limoges Judo Alliance. Despite these defeats, they rallied to earn their place in the play-off against the Judo club Talence and finish 4th, thus winning their place for the French team championships which will take place on Saturday April 16, in Paris, at the Institut national du judo.
To attend the meeting, the judokas of Saint-Valériennes do not spare their efforts: physical preparation every Tuesday and Friday before training and additional lessons in neighboring clubs, including the Olympic judo Ambazac and the JC Châteauroux during a departmental training.
The team is made up of Laurine Demazy (minus 52 kg), Élodie Chaput (minus 57 kg, from Olympic judo Ambazac), Anaïs Just (minus 63 kg), Cloé Carlotti (minus 63 kg), Charlotte Bagot (minus 70 kg), Solène Lestrade (over 70 kg).
