Roman Abramovich is one of the most famous and well-known Russian oligarchs in the world. Precisely for this reason he is particularly attentive to public opinion: in the past it has been said many times that he is very close to Vladimir Putineven if he has always denied any kind of connection with the Kremlin leader.
Now Abramovich finds himself in a delicate position: fearing to be included in the “black list” of the United Kingdom, the Russian tycoon has decided to put the Chelsea and to allocate the money to the victims of the war in Ukraine. Not only to those caused by the invasion ordered by Putin, but also to Russian soldiers and their families. Some sources close to Abramovich have in fact specified that any money from the sale of the London club would come intended not only for Ukrainian citizens, but also for wounded Russian soldiers and the families of those who died.
It remains to be seen how to do this, it being understood that the club must first be sold. Which is not easy because Abramovich would like almost four billion pounds, while potential buyers would hardly pay more than two billion, playing on the fact that the Russian tycoon is in a hurry to sell: at any moment he could be included in the “black list ”Of the British government and lose the chance to sell Chelsea.
