The Mexican Championship suspended after violent clashes in a stadium

At least 22 people were injured, including two seriously on Saturday during a fight between supporters during a meeting of the Mexican Championship in Querétaro, in the center of the country, between the local team and the Atlas of Guadalajara. The civil protection services have denied rumors on social networks speaking of several deaths.

The clashes in the stands started in the 63rd minute. The public took refuge on the lawn, which caused the stoppage of the meeting. Images broadcast on the networks show that the clashes continued on the ground while families with children tried to protect themselves and leave the stadium.

The Mexican Football League has announced the suspension of all matches scheduled to take place on Sunday as part of the 9th day.
