“I feel a lot better physically. I’ve used this time to recover well. The injury didn’t require surgery and that was a big relief. If I’m not in great shape, I’m not. really not far. Everything is fine in terms of playing skills (dribble, passing, shooting…), now I have to see how it goes in terms of physical contact, but I am convinced that it will be fine.
You injured yourself when you seemed to find the right carburation, we imagine you frustrated to have been slowed down in your progress?
“I was starting to feel better after being in trouble with my shot, which is my main weapon, at the start of the season. There was a cut, then my injury, then other injured players, an unexpected departure… And we ended up in a bad series. It was hard for me for many reasons. But the injured will come back, there are two new players coming, we want to end the year strong because we are obviously not where we wanted to be.”
“It’s a pain”
Isn’t it too difficult to see the team go through a bad period without having the opportunity to act?
“It’s a pain… I was there every day in training, doing my rehabilitation. I saw the matches on the bench or on TV. I wanted to help so much, because I fight daily with them.”
Have you ever had a season where your team had such bad luck with their squad?
“It’s my sixth professional season, I’ve never known it with so many hazards in the squad, so many things that we can’t control. When we have our full team, we’ve shown that We were a solid collective, that we can beat good formations. We could be in the Top 8 or not far. But what happened has happened, and fortunately there are enough matches left to play with a strong squad and see what happens. come.”
Is maintenance now your only objective?
“Obviously, that’s not the goal we set ourselves at the start of the season. But life has changed things. Now, you have to see it all as a new start. This break came at a good time. We can rebuild, with a group that has changed, we will arrive with new energy, new perspectives, to obtain more positive results.”
